Certification through the Programme meets the accreditation requirements that now apply under the RMA and to date, over 1,400 decision-makers, like you, have gained certification.
Certificates awarded under the Programme expire after three years. To remain certified decision-makers need to attend a one-day re-certification workshop before their certificate expires. All those whose certification expires on or before 31 December 2010, are invited to enrol.
Please ensure you enrol in this re-certification workshop if your certification expires on or before 31 December 2010.
Many of you are councillors, community board members or independent commissioners who continue to serve on hearings panels. However, you may not have stood for re-election in October 2007, or were unsuccessful in doing so. Nevertheless, you may be interested in continuing to offer your services as an independent commissioner.
Upon successful completion of this workshop you will be issued with a new certificate that is valid for a further FIVE years.
